I don't teach this only from what I've studied. I teach it from a place I've lived.
There was a time when my own body felt like a puzzle no one could quite put together. I was dealing with gut issues, thyroid issues, autoimmune symptoms, chronic stress, and a nervous system that had spent far too long carrying what I hadn't yet learned to put down.
I had information. I had doctors. I had tests.
But I also had something I eventually learned not to dismiss:
my own body.
I began paying attention to what helped me feel nourished, what depleted me, what happened when I rested, what happened when I didn't, and how much stress and unresolved pain were affecting the way I experienced my health.
That experience changed the way I help people today.
Because when someone tells me they're exhausted, overwhelmed, frustrated, or tired of feeling like their body has betrayed them, I don't just see symptoms.
I see the person carrying them.
Nutrition matters. Medical care matters. Science matters.
But so does listening.
So does feeling safe enough to rest.
So does learning where your energy goes.
So does nourishment.
So does your relationship with yourself.
My body wasn't asking me to become perfect.
It was asking me to pay attention.
And when I finally stopped treating it like the problem, I began understanding what it had been trying to tell me all along.
Sometimes healing begins with learning how to hear yourself again.
With love,
Andra Annette
