Wow… what a summer. 🥹💞

It hasn’t even been a full week since my SYEP girlies’ last day and I miss them tremendously. This goodbye was truly bittersweet.

At just 16–17 years old, these four young ladies became one of the biggest highlights of our summer at Belle Adore School. 💕

Being a boutique beauty school and this being my first year participating in Summer Youth, I was hesitant and originally only asked for two students. Somehow, I ended up with four beautiful young ladies and I’m so thankful I did. 🥹

This summer wasn’t just about giving them something to do. I wanted them to leave with something they could carry with them.

They learned the ins & outs of running a beauty school and business inventory, administrative work, scouting potential guests, cleaning & organization, skincare, lashes, makeup, content creation, finding their niche and so much more. And of course, being at a beauty school meant getting spoiled with a few facials and waxing services along the way. 😂💞

But my biggest goal went beyond beauty.

I wanted them to understand how to use social media for MORE. To know that where you come from does not determine where you can go. To remind them that they can become whatever they decide to become. And most importantly, to know that they are beautiful, worthy and capable no matter how cruel the world may sometimes be.

I started the summer as Ms. Shana and somehow ended it as Auntie Shana because these are my babies now! 😂🥹💞 And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

My girls, I hope years from now you look back at this summer and remember something you learned here. I hope I get to watch each of you grow into the beautiful, successful women I already know you can become.

You four will ALWAYS be part of the Belle Adore family. 🎀

Thank you for making our summer one for the books. I love you little ladies to the moon and back. Please come visit me because Auntie is already emotional. 😂🥹💞

Our SYEP girls have been showing up, working hard, learning new skills, and bringing amazing energy to Belle Adore School all summer long.

Today, it was their turn to relax. 🤍 Our esthetics students treated them to complimentary facials while gaining valuable hands on experience a win for everyone involved.

We believe in investing in the next generation, creating opportunities, building confidence, and reminding these young women that taking care of themselves is just as important as working hard.
