New York State visual artists!

Here's your reminder that The MACRO Project is seeking original artworks to be selected for display on 22'x10' billboards located on well-trafficked roads in the Finger Lakes region.

Four to Six artists will be selected to have their work displayed for one month in August or September 2026. This year’s exhibition has no special theme.

MACRO welcomes all artistic techniques, including but not limited to images of physical paintings, drawings, prints, models, sculptures, photography, and digital works.

Submissions are due Sunday, April 19!

🥳 Today we are commemorating what would have been Robert Rauschenberg's 100th birthday with a note written by the artist that exemplifies his belief in and support of artists as first responders and change makers.

It begins: "Artists have always been the first to respond, worldwide, to the needs of others, whether it be earthquakes, starving children, sinking Venice, or political atrocities." And ends: "Art has always been a nesesary [sic] ally to justice and freedom."

It was written in 1976, six years after Rauschenberg started a nonprofit foundation called Change, Inc., to assist professional artists of all disciplines in need.

We are proud to partner with Robert Rauschenberg Foundation to offer The Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants and Rauschenberg Dancer Emergency Grants, which carry on in the tradition of Change, Inc.

The current cycle of Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants is open through Tuesday, November 4. The next cycle of the Rauschenberg Dancer Emergency Grants will open on Tuesday, November 4.
