Inspired by their recent performance at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the ensemble's ongoing research into primary source material from the Middle Ages and its
performance practice, Concordian Drawn brings the Lehman community a performance
discussion of music from the Italian Trecento and the Chansonnier Cangé. The ensemble
will perform selections from three medieval manuscripts while projecting images of the
musical notation and manuscript illuminations for the audience and discussing
characteristics of the music and poetry. Program material will be drawn from three
important medieval manuscripts.
The performance will take place on Thursday November 14, at 1 PM in the Recital Hall (MU-306), 3rd fl Music Building.
