Yesterday, In collaboration with Fordham Prep’s Ministry Leadership Team, our 8th graders took part in a retreat experience designed to prompt reflection on their years at SIS and questions of faith, deepening their understanding of who God is in their lives.

The retreat also included Mass, celebrated by Fr. Jim Coughlin, S.J., for which we are especially grateful. We are thankful to our partners at Fordham Prep for accompanying our students in this meaningful opportunity to step back from daily routines and engage in intentional spiritual reflection. 🙏8️⃣⛪️

As we celebrate the Easter season, we are so happy to share that six SIS students have been preparing for the sacrament of baptism & will be welcomed into the Church tomorrow. It’s sure to be a beautiful celebration & we couldn’t be more proud Alaniah, Bryana, Carly, Johaassiel, Keisy, & Owen for making the decision to be baptized! 🙏⛪️✝️

We had a great afternoon on Saturday for our 4th Annual Young Professionals Spring Social! More than 75 people came out to Bella Union to socialize & learn more about SIS. What a great showing!

On Friday, our faculty & staff gathered at Fordham University Church for our annual retreat. We spent a relaxing morning in prayer & reflection, sharing what brought each of us to SIS & what keeps us going. After our morning of sharing, we were welcomed by the Jesuit scholastics at Ciszek Hall for Mass & a wonderful lunch. We all left reminded how blessed we are to work at SIS and grateful for the gift of our strong community.

As part of our Board of Trustees retreat yesterday, we heard from a panel of SIS graduates. Sydney, Sebastian, & Aaron are all members of the SIS class of 2017. They shared about their experiences moving through SIS, high school, college & into their first jobs. As our Board reflected on the key role Graduate Support plays in a Nativity education & our vision for the future, these three offered us inspiration & honesty. We are so proud of our graduates!

What a great night we had on Saturday at our annual Alumni Association Event! More than 30 alumni from across 11 years gathered for a bowling night filled with food, drink, and fellowship. We love to connect with our alumni & share updates on all the good work going on at SIS!
