As an educational community, Our Saviour Lutheran School serves as an extension of the faithful work and service of the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour. We believe that students of various backgrounds can learn and grow within the contexts of a Christian community. In cooperation with leadership and those who care for our students, we seek to provide the resources and motivation by which our students are encouraged to gain and increase faithful character as well as high levels of knowledge and skills, engaging each in holistic growth. Black History Month + Spirit Week continues with Dr. Bolling & Pathways Community Partner, the New York Public Library (Morris Park & Tremont branches - .) OSL came through during Black History Month and our students learned about dressing for all spaces and places, and how to properly tie a tie from our local youth librarians. We are thankful for community partners and for the blessing of the library!

OSL proudly celebrates Black History Month by engaging students with our 2025 theme, “Comedy & Wit: Humor as Resistance.”

Laughter and love have long been strands woven into the tapestry of the Black Diaspora, which includes countries in Africa, the Caribbean, Asia, and the Americas. We all benefit from Black Historical contributions, let’s honor our shared past.
