The kids wrote these messages all over our yard today... “I love you… Save St. Margaret Mary…THE SCHOOL IS CLOSING”
I asked them”why are you guys writing this all over our yard???”
They say "Mrs. Moore, if we write it BIG enough and A LOT of times we might get lucky since it's St. Patrick's Day and God will see it from Heaven and answer our prayers"
So I respond, “wow that’s amazing… you guys put a lot of thought into that plan… I’m the one that is lucky to have such wonderful, thoughtful children in my school. You may not hear God talking to you, but He hears you, so I want you to know God will ALWAYS love you and you don’t need LUCK for that kind of LOVE.”
My children never cease to amaze me!
Healing and understanding can be a long process sometimes. These are the voices of our children. These are the silent voices of the innocent. Let’s continue to pray for them and let’s continue to have conversations with them for understanding. Time will heal all wounds.

Our friends at DSNY through our GrowNYC Project visit us during CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK to educate students about waste management in full blown effort to reduce hazardous waste that harms God’s beautiful creation. Children enjoy fun activities, play a game, and walk away with some cool coloring books. Making them honorary Earth-saving Crusaders!
