Good morning P.S. Families,

Don't forget about our Resource Connect TODAY. Come by anytime between 8:30am-10:00am. Enter through the main doors by security and they will direct you. We will have two of the afterschool programs that pick up at our school. You can meet them and get information about their programs.

We will also have the NYPL available to share their FREE resources.

* Discover free resources and programs offered by the New York Public Library (NYPL).
* Get hands-on help creating your NYC Schools Account (NYCSA) or downloading the P.S. 14 app.

Community Day @ Maritime

In coordination with City of Water Day

This fun, interactive event is free to the general public and will connect residents to Long Island Sound/East River to increase the use, appreciation, and support for our local waters. Community members can participate in maritime activities such as:

• Stewardship Activities (i.e. shoreline cleanup, oyster restoration with Billion Oyster Project)

• Marine Environmental Science (i.e. shoreline exploration/seining, touch tank, water quality monitoring)

• Waterfront Community Programs (i.e. kayaking, sailing and boating with qualified skippers)

• Free fishing clinic provided by I Fish NY (11am-1pm)

Hello P.S. 14 Families,

Join us at 6:30pm tonight for our Parent Workshop "Raising Safe and Balanced Digital Kids: Gaming and the Internet". See attached flyers and description below.

Description: Screens do not have to be the enemy, but unmanaged use can quickly lead to stress, conflict, and emotional overload. In this session, parents will learn how gaming and internet use impact developing brains and emotions, along with realistic ways to set limits that actually stick. They will leave with practical tools to reduce power struggles, establish clear expectations, and build healthier digital habits without constant battles.
