Meet Wendy Pozo, the new Business Analyst at Eastern Arizona College Small Business Development Center!
Wendy is originally from California but calls the Gila Valley home since moving here 14 years ago. She has a bachelor's in criminology from the University of La Verne and is co-owner of Seek Legacy, a real-estate business that primarily focuses on property management and the winner of the Best of the Gila Valley in 2024. Her volunteer work with SEACUS Meals on Wheels, the GFWC Woman's Club of Safford, along with her participation in the 2023 DreamBuilder program and Leadership Cohort 17, have helped her grow as a leader in the Gila Valley.
Additionally, Wendy is the mother of two wonderful children who have her heart. She says, "They are my motivation and have brought out the best in me. They have taught me the importance of hard work and perseverance so that I can strive to build a strong future for them and the next generation." In her free time, she also enjoys hiking, architecture, spending time in Sedona, visiting historical places, and takes pride in being a member of the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum.
When asked if there was anything else she would like to incorporate in this post, Wendy explained: "One of the things I value most is seeing people pursue their dreams, overcome challenges, and create opportunities for themselves and their families. As an SBDC Business Analyst/Counselor, my goal is to be a knowledgeable, approachable, and a dependable resource for entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey. Whether someone is developing a business idea, starting a new venture, working to grow an established business, or navigating a challenge, I want them to know they do not have to figure it all out alone. I look forward to building relationships throughout the community, learning from the entrepreneurs I serve, and helping strengthen the small businesses that make the Gila Valley such a special place to live and work. I am excited to be a part of such an amazing team."
We are beyond excited to welcome Wendy to our team and utilize her drive and expertise! Feel free to congratulate her here or in passing!
