A student in our Wednesday night Institute class shared this thought, and it’s been on my mind ever since:

“If you can’t see light at the end of the tunnel, then you’re not at the end of the tunnel.”

What a powerful reminder.

There will be moments when we can’t see what’s ahead. Answers may not come when we want them. The road may feel darker and longer than we expected.

But darkness doesn’t mean the story is over.

Because of Jesus Christ, there is always hope ahead. There is always healing. There is always a way forward.

And maybe the most important truth of all: we don’t have to wait until the end of the tunnel to find Him. He walks through it with us. 🤍

Because of Him. ✨

SUNDAY REMINDER

He lives. And He will comfort you.

Sister Camille N. Johnson reminded us of Mary at the empty tomb. She stood there weeping—heartbroken, confused, and unsure of what came next.

And then Jesus came.

He knew her.
He called her by name.
He comforted her.

The same Savior who comforted Mary still lives today.

Whatever you’re carrying this Sunday—questions, fear, loneliness, disappointment, or uncertainty—remember:

Jesus Christ sees you. He knows you. He loves you. And He will comfort you.

The tomb is empty.
He lives.

Sometimes the questions are hard.

Sometimes answers don’t come as quickly as we hoped. Doubt can creep in. We can feel discouraged, confused, or even completely alone.

But questions don’t push us away from Heavenly Father—they can lead us closer to Him.

Heavenly Father sees you. He knows what you’re carrying. He hears every prayer—even the ones you struggle to put into words.

The answer may not always come when we want it or how we expect it, but we can trust that He is there.

So keep asking.
Keep seeking.
Keep praying.
Keep trusting.

You are never alone in your questions. Heavenly Father is listening.

You don't want to miss this: Shawn and Candace will celebrate their 33rd anniversary this December. They met on a blind date and were engaged two weeks later — in the Taco Bell in Globe, which permanently set the bar low for future anniversary dinners.

They’ve been blessed with six beautiful daughters, two pretty‑okay sons‑in‑law, and two amazing grandchildren. Their youngest is still in high school, so they’re not quite empty nesters yet.

Between the two of them, they’ve worked in just about every field imaginable: special education, wilderness survival youth programs (Anasazi), prison security, manufacturing, teaching, construction, nursing, and programming. You’ll have to guess who did what — except for the easy ones: Candace is currently a nurse at the hospital, and Shawn works for a defense contractor for the Department of War.

They are grateful to be serving in the Mt. Graham YSA 2nd Ward and love spending time with the young adults, of which they still consider themselves, notwithstanding birthdays.
