The rain may have kept us from having a water slide play day but it didn’t keep us from playing games inside along with a “snowball” fight with bean bag balls. And then the older boys decided it was going to be a water day anyway and went to play in the rain and mud. 😜 they were thoroughly amazed that their teachers let them get wet and muddy

Congratulations to our kindergarten graduate, Houston!

Congratulations to our 7th grade students Lorelai and Ethan for winning first place in the Daughters of the Republic of Texas essay writing contest! They were entered in two different chapters so they wouldn’t be competing against each other and both took first in each chapter. We are so proud of them and all their hard work!!

We had an AMAZING time at Taste Around the World tonight!! Thank you to all the parents that helped make it a success and thank you to all the church members who came out to support the kids and the school. We love you all!!!!

Kindergarten is studying plants for our last unit of the year. We’ve planted some chia seeds which haven’t started growing yet and we also have Lima beans in a “greenhouse” ziplock bag that have started sprouting so we can see what happens under the dirt when we plant seeds. We are keeping track of our plants’ progress in our plant journals every day.

Each child has prepared dishes from a country and will be ready to present their foods and facts about their country! Come out at 6pm this Tuesday to support them and see what our school is all about!!

Annnnd another one bites the dust… this boy is tearing through phonics like a hot knife through butter! We have finished book 3 and are starting book 4!!!! 😱
