A big shoutout to Chef Brittany Shelby, COM's Culinary Arts Program Coordinator, who led our final culinary workshop of the summer last Saturday! Students prepared a colorful spread of Mediterranean mezze favorites, then gathered to enjoy the delicious meal they created. They also headed home with new recipes to recreate these flavorful dishes at home.
The fun continues this fall with Lifelong Learning culinary workshops, including Southern Soul, Tailgating Favorites, Tour of Italy, Kitchen Knife Skills, and our Holiday Baking Series. We also have family-friendly Adult/Child classes, including Quick Breads and Teen Chef Academy!
Explore our fall lineup online or call 409-933-8461 to register. Spots are limited, so reserve yours soon!

In this two-night workshop, our students turned old magazines and calendar pages into stunning Sunburst Wall Art. With a lot of rolling and gluing—each piece included more than 200 rolled paper coils!—everyday materials were transformed into beautiful, multi-dimensional designs with a mirrored center. Just another reminder that with a little imagination, something old can become something extraordinary! Thank you Susan Bledsoe for leading the way!
