Dedicated to all Retired School Employees who have given years of tireless and selfless service to others through the teaching profession and who continue to do so by being an example for good that shall live in the lives of all those they touch. Membership is open to former teachers and other former school employees form the school districts in Eastern Bowie County.

Wake Village Elementary School students pose for a photo after receiving 150 new books from the Texarkana-Bowie County Retired Teachers Association on Tuesday in Wake Vil-lage, Texas. The group, through Carolyn Moore, George Moore and Mark Roberts, also delivered 164 books to students at Parks Elementary School in Texarkana, Texas. Several Texarkana Independent School District administrators were on hand, including WVES Principal Andy McCarter, Director of Communications and Marketing Kelly Bixier, Deputy Superintendent Sherri Penix, and Superintendent Dr. Doug Brubaker.
