Our PGMS students worked in groups to identify homogeneous mixtures, heterogeneous mixtures, and pure substances. Way to go, students! 🖤💛

Seventh grade students went “speed dating” in RLA yesterday to discuss their library books! 📚

Students rotated through conversations focused on key ideas, author’s purpose, inferences, and summarizing what they’ve read so far. They were engaged, actively listening, and excited to share their books with classmates.

😃 It was a fun way to build meaningful academic conversations, spark interest in new books, and prepare students for their upcoming performance assessment!

Mrs. Hart and Mr. Harris’s 7th grade RLA classes visited the library today, where district librarian Mrs. Thomas hosted a special “Book Tasting” for their students! 📚

This experience put a wide variety of books, authors, genres, and writing styles directly into students’ hands, giving them the opportunity to explore titles they may not have chosen on their own. The Book Tasting encouraged students to step outside their usual reading preferences, discover new styles of books, and expand their interests as readers.

We loved seeing students browse, explore, and get excited about finding their next great read!

We can't wait to welcome our students and families back for another amazing school year!

Join us for Meet the Teacher on Monday, August 10th, from 4:00–6:00 PM. Students will be able to:
✨ Pick up their class schedules
🏫 Walk around the building
👋 Meet their teachers
🎒 Get excited for an incredible year ahead!

We'll also have someone available during Meet the Teacher to help families complete Free & Reduced Lunch applications and answer any questions.
