Good Morning Emmanuel Friends! I’m sorry I’ve been absent in updating. Thank you to those who came this summer. We hope to do it again next summer but I’ll need 1 person to handle tickets/ordering catering (this is not my strong suit!!) I don’t mind picking it up. I just need one organized person to collect orders/money and make the order. Then tell me “Alyssa, go here and get this!” I also need 1 super happy, bubbly, likeable person to help get the word out. I’ll handle the rest as far as reserving the church and setup (my strong suit!). The catering menu next summer is Cracker Barrel. They have a wide range of options and something for almost anyone (plus cornbread, biscuits and APPLE BUTTER! 😋).

In the meantime!! Most people are in for the holidays so I’m putting out 2 dates to go out to eat (Dutch). We can do both or pick one. Preferably both and whoever can, just show up!

This is for all family members welcome! Kids, grandkids and parents. We all were part of the Emmanuel family and it took everyone. Children 12 and under will not need to purchase a meal ticket. I just need a headcount of everyone who wants to attend by July 10 if possible for the caterers.

Hi everyone! We started this page to see if there would be enough interest to host a reunion and apparently there is. Walnut Church of Christ on Moores lane has graciously offered to rent us their gathering areas, kitchen, and gym at an exceptionally reasonable price. Tickets are per person and cover the menu, clean-up and venue rental fee. Contact me for ticket info. If you know friends who aren’t on FB, please steal this photo and share.

Hi everyone! For those who don’t know me, I’m Alyssa Hawkins (Potts). I didn’t expect this to blow up as quickly as it has but I should have. Emmanuel was amazing! This started the other night just as a message to a couple that said “Hey what if we…” and y’all have taken it from there. I’m just sort of directing traffic in a sense.

Reading through comments, we seem to share the same fond memories of Emmanuel. Watching schools struggle today, I realize we were the most blessed kids in town. I don’t remember one single adult in our lives who had an “agenda” other than to help us succeed.

If everyone is on board, then we can post a couple polls in the next few days to see what getting together might look like.

Here’s a few questions to ponder until we send those polls out.
What month: July, August, September, October?
Location: Restaurant room (everyone go Dutch? May be easier than venue and cater or see if a church will allow us to use as venue)
Teachers & Bro. Hutchings: What dates will best serve them?
Out of town students: What dates will best accommodate you?
