CCC Toolbox Academic Advisor & College and Career Counselor for Home Educators and Anderson University, South Carolina in 2021.

Shari Nelson had the privilege of home educating her 4 children for over 20 years using a variety of curriculums and homeschooling opportunities. Shari and her sister, Liz Hach, opened the Christian Educators Resource Center (CERC) in 2006, serving as Director of Education until 2010. During this time, she taught co-operative classes to homeschoolers, including Bible, math, language arts and scien

ce. Shari also served on the Board of Directors at CERC in various positions and was able to fulfill her calling by encouraging home educators. From 2016-2022, she had the opportunity to be the College and Career Counselor at Poetry Community Christian School where God continued to grow her faith, knowledge and calling to serve high schoolers and their families. Through seminars and one-on-one assistance, Shari Nelson, CCC Toolbox, advises families how to fulfill academic high school and graduation requirements, to find resources that help students succeed regardless of learning challenge, and to explore students’ college, career, and calling in preparation for their post-secondary plans. Shari received her Bachelor of Science, Interdisciplinary Studies in Education and Social Sciences at Liberty University in 2018. She then completed her Guidance Counselor Certification in College Admission Counseling and Advising through the North American Coalition for Christian Admissions Professionals, Inc. She is currently a member of North American Coalition for Christian Admissions Professionals, Inc and Texas Association of College Admission and Counseling.

Are you in Rockwall, Hunt or Kaufman county and run a co-op or pod or micro-school? We want to connect with you!

I’m excited to share an opportunity we’re facilitating for your area homeschool leaders with the Texas Home School Coalition (THSC) that I immediately thought would be perfect for you and your group to be a part of!

We REALLY want all of you to participate if able. You each add experience and wisdom that is priceless. We can build community, share wisdom and knowledge, and help each other succeed in serving the homeschool community.

You’re invited to join us for a Homeschool Leader’s Roundtable, an open discussion where we’ll tackle our biggest challenges, share our best solutions, and support each other in serving our homeschool communities.

Lindsey Hoyle from THSC will be facilitating our discussion, helping us make the most of our time together and equipping us to continue this year with renewed focus and effectiveness. She will also share about resources that THSC has to offer for homeschool leaders.

This is a beautiful campus and a great place to visit if your student is looking for an authentic Christian community where 99% of graduates find employment or placement in their graduate program.
