Great way to end practice! An intense wiffle ball game!

It sucks having practice on a day that you work… but knowing your son Evan Newman and a player that you have coached (Brody Joe Rice) has you back and came to help the boys out. Don’t get me wrong I have a great coaching staff but sometimes it’s easier to learn from young adults.

A message in memoriam from the Indiana Jr Sycamores coach Mark Spires.

“Indiana Jr Sycamore's 15u Brody Sanders
#4 was tragically taken from us today.
He had just got his driver license. July 21st.
This morning he was in a car accident that took his life. Brody loved baseball pationately. And love to compete. He was very Competitive.

One of the most memorable games we had was at Usssa State tournament last year 2021..

When Brody Pitched against the Wallen Warriors 14u out of Fort Wayne Indiana, Who were the 2020 Usssa 13u World Series Champions, They beat us in the World Series Championship game..

So the following year we ended up playing them at Usssa State in 2021. In the 4th or 5th game. At Usssa State we matched up, and we won this time. Brody pitched the whole game..⚾️. It was like winning the World Series

What a fantastic young man, I got to know. For the past 3 years. We will miss you kid.
