And last but not least,

đź’™ Staff Council Shoutout đź’™

Roxanne has been with Indiana State University for 27 years, with the last four years spent in the Office of Information Technology. Roxanne has been in a relationship with a partner for over 10 years and has one son, Chris, who was recently married in October, welcoming a daughter-in-law, Sierra, into the family.
In free time, Roxanne enjoys cheering on the Chicago Cubs as a lifelong, dedicated fan, as well as playing softball, golfing, and unwinding with favorite shows such as Gilmore Girls, Friends, and Grey’s Anatomy.
Being part of Staff Council is something Roxanne truly enjoys, as it provides the opportunity to connect with fellow Sycamores, encourage engagement, and contribute to making ISU an even better place to work. Roxanne brings energy, ideas, and a sense of fun to the group, including advocating for creative ideas—such as Friday afternoon margaritas—as a way to celebrate the end of the workweek.
Roxanne is grateful to represent such an outstanding group of staff and to be part of a campus community that reflects strong Sycamore pride, support, and connection.

đź’™ Staff Council Shoutout đź’™

Christi Burt has been a dedicated member of Library Administration at Indiana State University for 32 years. She has been happily married to her husband, Mike, for 10 years, and together they share a large and loving blended family that includes six grown children four sons, Jordan (36), Justin (35), Skylar (33), and Cody (33), and two daughters, Cheyenne (31) and Madison (25)—as well as five grandchildren, Sterling (4), Cohen (2), Ruelle (6), Nova (4), and Sienna (3), with another grandchild due in September. Christi is also a proud dog mom to two small fur babies, Rebel, a mini dachshund, and Bruiser, a Shorkie. An artist and creative at heart, she enjoys painting, making stained glass and jewelry, and photography, which she pursues as a side business with her sister. She has taught art classes locally and continues to use her creative talents through her church’s women’s group, “GOD and My Girlfriends.” In her free time, Christi loves riding a Harley with her husband, spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and going thrifting or antiquing in search of unique finds. She enjoys a wide variety of music, especially Christian music, along with classic rock, Motown, R&B, and country, and she likes watching shows such as 911 and Chicago Fire. Through her involvement in Staff Council, Christi values being a voice for staff and helping enhance the workplace experience at ISU, and she hopes to see more opportunities for staff to connect through creative, social, and family-oriented events.
