A great big THANK YOU goes out to the firefighters from Honey Creek and THFD who came out to educate our co-op kiddos for Fire Prevention Day! (Sparky the Dog even showed up!)

It was so great to learn from three of the men who keep our community safe everyday, and they did the most amazing job with our group. That equipment is very heavy, and they rush into the face of danger day in & day out. So while we say thanks to our firefighters who joined us for our event today (Tyler, Steve, and Thomas), we want to say thank you to ALL firefighters for what they do. 🫶🏻

We ended our day with hot dogs grilled by Adam and s’mores (safely!🤪) over a campfire.

It was an amazing day at Legacy Learning Collective. 🩵🫶🏻

🚒🔥 A huge thank you to Battalion Chief Mike Walls! 🔥🚒

We are so thankful to Mike for taking the time to drop off the Sparky Trailer for us to use during our Fire Prevention education tomorrow!

Our students are going to have such a fun, hands-on opportunity to learn about fire safety and prevention alongside our local firefighters.

We truly appreciate our community partners who help make special learning experiences like this possible for our Legacy students!

Thank you, Chief Walls, and all of our firefighters for serving our community and investing in our kids! 🦁🩵

Upcoming Legacy Co-Op Field Trip: 🎃 🍁
We are so excited to bring to you our very first field trip together to Hunsucker Harvest Co. next Friday, October 16th!
Our students will get to participate in a hayride, do the corn maze, go for a ride on the cow train, and each take a pumpkin home. They are going to have something educational as well, but this will mostly be about having fun! The field trip will cost each Legacy student $10 (and parents/siblings are free!) Please bring payment to Legacy by next Tuesday, and we will pay them with one transaction from us.

We can’t wait to spend the afternoon with you next week doing all the “fall” things!

Yesterday in our middle school art class at co-op, the students got in touch with their creative sides by learning how to utilize a gelli plate and brayer to create prints using paper punches as a mask. In doing so, they were able to create one of a kind prints!

Our students love art with Mrs. Katie! 🎨

Yesterday, our Legacy Co-Op students showed up in their silliest, brightest, and CRAZIEST socks!

We love adding a little extra fun to our co-op days and giving our students opportunities to laugh, connect, and make sweet memories together.

Learning is always better with a little fun… 🦁📚
