Theta Omicron was first colonized in the fall of 1978 by a group of men who desired to form a fraternity that was different and stood out from the other fraternities who were already on Indiana State University's campus. They wished to form an organization, a brotherhood that stood for more than a Saturday night party, they wanted to make a difference. Ed Pease, an initiate of the Delta Xi Chapter

at Indiana University came to campus and with the help of a few undergraduates they put into motion what has become the best fraternity on Indiana State's campus. Through the years, Theta Omicron positioned itself into the most dominant Chapter in the nation, winning an unprecedented 18 Smythe Awards consecutively. More than 1300 men have been initiated through Theta Omicron in the past 30 years.

We had a great turnout for our summer rush! We met a lot of great guys with good energy and had a lot of fun talking to everyone, and getting to know each and every single one of them. We’re excited to introduce more people our chapter and introduce our community and brotherhood to them.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and showed out to help and support our chapter. And thank you to all the alumni and exec for helping to fund and plan our rush events.

On July 25th, 2O26, brothers Luke Bloebaum and Cole Marts volunteered their time to help historian Dr. Crystal Reynolds with her one-of-a-kind art tour. The tour was part of the Vigo County Public Library’s summer program on uncovering hidden local stories and history.

This art tour focused on 8 of local artist Bill Wolfe’s statues/monuments located across downtown Terre Haute. There were dozens of guests from all walks of life in attendance.

Some of the art on the tour included the fallen officer statues outside the Terre Haute Police Station, the Larry Bird statue outside the Hulman Center, and the Frederick Douglass monument located outside the Hilton Garden Inn.

Our brothers help to guide guests, present photographs and other visual aids, and our president even gave a speech about Theta Omicron’s involvement in and fundraising of the very popular Frederick Douglass monument.

The tour was videotaped by local television station WTHI and a subsequent news story was produced.

What a great experience!! We learned more about local history through art. The Pikes at ISU also became part of the history as a project that the brothers worked so diligently on was one of the featured artworks.

Another successfully year for Theta Omicron

At the 2026 International Convention in Las Vegas Theta Omicron stood out from the rest by taking home some of the most prominent awards a chapter can receive and awarding individuals who went above and beyond what it means to be a PIKE
