What does it feel like to see your work become part of a gallery?

For Liam, a STARS scholar, it started with the excitement of receiving the award and continued through the process of creating, refining and bringing his work to life. Now, he gets to see that work displayed in a gallery.

On Thursday, Sept., 3, you can hear more from Liam and the other student artists about their work, their creative process and what this experience has meant to them.

Meet the artists Thursday!

We hope you’ll join us tomorrow in the Yang Family Gallery for the reception and panel discussion for the annual Faculty Exhibition. The reception is from 4-6 p.m. with the panel discussion beginning at 4:30 p.m. The panel will be moderated by Amy MacLennan, curator of the Swope.

The Faculty Exhibition runs through September 18. The Yang Family Gallery is open Monday–Friday, 11 a.m.–4 p.m., with extended hours on Thursdays until 6 p.m.

The hustle and bustle on campus is very exciting!

Indiana State University is building on last year’s enrollment gains! This fall, we’ve welcomed 1,607 new freshmen, our largest freshman class in six years, along with double-digit growth in new transfer and graduate enrollment.

Here are a few more highlights from this year:

📈 New transfer enrollment grew 13% to 518 students
💙 New graduate enrollment grew 13% to 505 students
🏡 1,426 new freshmen are Indiana residents, a 4% increase from last fall
🎓 The Honors College welcomed 400 new students, marking the second consecutive year with at least 400 incoming Honors students

These numbers reflect the continued momentum at Indiana State and our commitment to providing an exceptional student experience and helping students succeed from enrollment through graduation.
