Congratulations to our sophomore winter Noel Moore Award winner, Griffin Lawrence! Griffin is recognized for his positive attitude, outstanding academic performance, and extracurricular involvement. He has a big personality that brings fun, humor, and energy to the classroom. Not only does he excel in his classes, Griffin is also involved around campus as a sophomore resident advisor and Admissions Office ambassador, and he has served in leadership roles for Greek life and SGA. Congratulations, Griffin!
The Noel Moore Award is given quarterly to a sophomore, junior, and senior student from each class who, in the opinion of the faculty and staff of the Chemical Engineering Department, has exhibited a commendable attitude towards learning and contributed positively to the Rose-Hulman community. The award is named after Dr. Noel Moore, who was a chemical engineering faculty member for 30 years, including 10 years as Department Head. Dr. Moore retired in 1998 and was named an emeritus faculty member. He passed away in the fall of 2018.
