We remain dedicated to creating safe, supportive, and engaging learning environments where every student can succeed.

Parents, please be advised that your child should be bringing home a paper packet that will allow you to review and update your child's student information and medical information. In addition, the packet will also direct you to complete a brief online form to update additional student information. Please return these packets so that school personnel can update this information as soon as possible. This is a change from previous years in which information was updated exclusively using an online form. Please contact your school with any questions or concerns with this new process.

Preston County Schools will be conducting hearing, speech, language, and vision screenings in our schools in the months of September and October. These screenings are for students entering school for the first time who have not been screened, students who have been referred for re-screenings from the previous year, and/or any students referred by teachers. Parents will be notified if any student should not pass the screenings.
Those who do not wish their child to be tested must contact their respective school in writing. For additional information, you may contact the Preston County Schools, Special Education Department at 304-329-0580, extension 3220 or 3239.

Good evening Eagle Families,
We would like to review our morning drop-off procedures with you.
If you are dropping students off in the morning, please do not arrive before 6:50 a.m., as we do not have staff available for supervision before this time. After entering the parking lot, please stay to the right and pull forward alongside the sidewalk as far as possible. This will help keep traffic moving and prevent backups. If you need to enter the building for any reason, please park in a designated parking spot. Families may not go past the double doors into the cafeteria without first signing in at the office and receiving a visitor pass. Please say your goodbyes at your car whenever possible, or in the foyer if necessary.

The final countdown...
We look forward to seeing all those smiling faces back, bright and early, and on-time, tomorrow morning to kick-off the 2026-2027 PCS School Year. We'll see all students in grades 1-12 tomorrow, then we'll welcome back our PK/K students on Thursday. Summer sure went by fast! As we get ready to welcome everyone back, we hope our students had a wonderful summer filled with fun, family, friends, and plenty of time to recharge. We’re excited to see our students return refreshed, energized, and ready for another year of learning, growing, and making great memories. Welcome back, students—we’re so glad you’re here!

Before the First Bell 😂

While the school cooks and custodians are already in the building bright and early, getting everything ready for another school year, making sure the kitchen is ready, floors are shining, classrooms are looking good, and the building is ready to welcome everyone back…

A couple of us decided to stop by for a little back-to-school photo shoot. 😂📸

Everybody had an important job. 🤣

Truthfully, these cooks and custodians are the behind-the-scenes heroes who show up early, work hard, and make sure the rest of us walk into a school that is clean, organized, welcoming, and ready to go.

But hey… somebody had to document the occasion! 😂❤️📸

Opening Day is coming—and apparently, so is our modeling career. 😆
