Big Bend Observatory Big Bend Observatory is dedicated to promoting astrotourism in rural Brewster County, Texas.

Observatory time and visiting astronomer quarters are available on a fee basis (VRBO model) from our Bortle 1 dark sky site at Willow Mountain.

I broke out the new Seestar S50 Pro last evening...Andromeda Galaxy, 2.5 million light-years distant, with NGC 147, a satellite galaxy to Andromeda above. and IC1795, AKA the Fiishead Nebula.
