Along with PreK-12 CTE and Adult Education, the GRACE Innovation Center operates a Telehealth program to expand access to healthcare.

Through this program, you can reserve an iPad and private space to meet remotely with medical providers such as a primary care physician or counselor. When you arrive for your telehealth appointment, a volunteer will help you power up the iPad and login to your appointment.

To learn more, please visit https://stgeorgecommunity.org/programs/telehealth-community-paramedicine/

This is a partnership with the St George Community Development Corporation and St. George Community Paramedicine Program to create an integrated telehealth/paramedicine program that fosters a healthy and resilient community.

Most Thursdays this summer at the GRACE, students had sparks flying learning to weld. Yesterday, the next generation of St. George entrepreneurs sent sparks of imagination flying at Maine FastForge 2026 - a partnership between the GRACE Innovation Center and The Possible Zone (TPZ).

With coaches from TPZ and our own Makerspace Director Paul Meinersmann, teams of St. George high school students and recent grads spent the day researching, developing, and prototyping new products that they pitched to a panel of judges in front of an audience of parents and community members.

šŸ„‡The first-place team (Matilda Schroeder, Mason Cushman Brennan Mathiau, Harper Morley, and Isaiah Felton) designed the SUNHAVN, a solar-powered, heated hammock.

🄈The second-place team (Oliver Christensen, Sasha Shapiro, Tucker Bryant, Lars Schroeder, and Phoebe Schroeder) came up with the RuffRest, a comfortable headrest for dogs that can be attached to a vehicle's front seats and turned into a f***y pack to carry pet items.

Thanks to support from the Foundation, both teams received cash prizes and the opportunity to work with a business consultant to explore bringing their product to market.

A special thanks to our judges; parents, community members, school board members, and school administrators for attending the pitches and reception; the Black Harpoon for catering the event; our partners at The Possible Zone and NorthLight Foundation; and - above all - to our students and alumni for once again inspiring all of us!
