We also offer lodging upon request. Our quaint, two-bedroom, waterfront cottage as a rental to our clients. The cottage comfortably sleeps 6 people and is fully furnished within 20' of the ocean. We rent it by the night. All you need to bring is your food. We have easy access to lobsters for those who would enjoy eating them on the deck. Dave Hall is one of our luckiest fishermen! He and his friends have hooked mako sharks each time out on Lady Anne - and this year was no different! Although the big mako broke the line, the excitement of seeing it jump and twirl made the day. Three small porbeagle sharks kept everyone busy and filled a wonderful day. Thank you, Dave!

What a day! The Edwards Family had an incredible time on board! We started with nonstop activity of pollack fishing - and releasing. Disembarking on Monhegan Island for a bit of shopping and ice cream eating then back on the water. And Wow! Tuna everywhere! We puts baits out and trolled through very active feeding frenzies! Big fish and even bigger excitement erupted - hooting and hollering and yelling directions of where the huge tuna were surfacing. We didn’t catch a tuna but we are now all hooked on tuna fishing!

Some esteemed University of Maine Darling Center Science Divers had a reunion on board - and offboard! - Lady Anne. We had a delightful day with these accomplished entertaining and enthusiastic divers. They dove the “wild waters” off Monhegan Island and the bountiful seascapes of Manana Island. They spotted sea urchins, a large lion’s mane jelly fish, impressive lobsters, a seal resting on the deep bottom, scallops, and schools of fish - all favorable signs of a healthy ecosystem. On a surface interval, a Mola Mola (ocean sunfish) swam by to see what was happening. Divers do what divers do and they jumped in to have a sweet encounter with our funky-looking friend. It was a wonderful day for friends from near and far to reconnect and experience their shared love of science and sea.

A little cruise with friends and neighbors made a beautiful sunny day complete. It has been so sweet to hear the pure joy in little voices as they explore new territory. They loved Lady Anne! The puffins were shy today - and not as big as Owen’s puffin stuffie at home. Back at the dock, Sibley swam back to the little cottage. Perfect!

Many followers have inquired about releasing the sharks we tag. One of our clients took a video of the release of a female blue shark in July. The shark is healthy and lively and swimming free. Thank you, Danielle. We are proud to have collaborated with National Marine Fisheries for over 30 years. The data collected from the archival tagging program has been invaluable to NMF for tracking migratory patterns and locating possible pupping areas. To date, 30 of our tagged sharks have been reported from locations all over the world. These apex predators are vital to marine ecosystems; they are truly awe inspiring.
