To commemorate October 7, TCA Middle School came together around the powerful message Am Yisrael Shine—that when our people are tested, our light shines even brighter.

Through videos, personal stories, and firsthand accounts, students discovered seven lights revealed within Am Yisrael following October 7: Emunah, Tefillah, Achdut, Gevurah, Chesed, Mesirut Nefesh, and Jewish Pride. Students reflected on each light and lit a candle to represent it, creating seven flames that showed the many ways Am Yisrael continues to shine.

Students then chose a mitzvah or positive action to add their own light to Am Yisrael, committing to it on an “Am Yisrael Shine” card.

AM YISRAEL SHINE!

Our students celebrated Dot Day with a creative and inspiring experience in Art class! After listening to the beloved story The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds, students were reminded that everyone can be an artist—and sometimes, all it takes is one small dot to get started! 🔵🟢🟣

We loved seeing their creativity, imagination, and unique artistic ideas come to life! 🎨

Our New Student Lunch was such a fun opportunity for our new students to connect and feel even more at home! Each student was able to invite a new friend to join them for a special pizza lunch. We also did a Laffy Taffy icebreaker, where everyone answered different questions about how school has been going so far. It was a great chance to spend time with new friends, talk together about the experience of starting at a new school, and build new friendships with students across different grades.
