Dear Class of 1986,

It is only 5 days until the Homecoming Game at North Mecklenburg, this Friday, October 7, 2016. North will be playing against Hopewell at 7:00 P.M. The Athletic Director will have a section reserved for our class at the game and the Class of 1986 will be announced during the game.

Hope as many who can attend, will attend.

Dear Class of 1986

Unfortunately, we will not be able to order group T-shirts or secure the space at The Press Box. We had roughly 10 people pay the $15.00 fee and that wasn't enough to cover the minimum order for the shirts or for reserving the space at the bar.

The Homecoming Game and meeting at an agreed upon location afterward is still an option. The class will be announced and everyone who plans to attend the game can gather together and fellowship. After the game, those who are interested can also gather/meet afterwards. We just won't be able to do an organized gathering because of the passing of the deposit deadline and the lack of enough people committed to attending.

Refunds have been processed for those who paid through PayPal. Please let me know if you do not receive your refund on your credit card statement.

Here's the latest update on our 30th reunion....

Given that several people have expressed interest in gathering together informally at the football game and a bar/restaurant later for our 30th reunion, here's our latest option.

The football game is Friday, October 7. It is also Homecoming. We will be announced as class during the game. It would be great to be recognized as a group with a reunion T-shirt. Also we need a large enough place to comfortably gather together after the game.

The first 100 people who pay $15.00 by September 16th, can secure a ticket to North Meck's area at The Press Box Bar & Grill at 9609 N. Tryon Street after the homecoming game. They will save space for our group for a relatively small fee.

The first 100 people who send in their money will also receive a 30th Reunion T-shirt. The fee will cover the T-shirt cost, as well as the venue's required deposit to save space for us. (Please note that your food/drinks will not be included for the $15.00.)

Please go to PayPal to pay $15.00 by Sept 16th and note in the comment section the size T-shirt that you want.

The t-shirts will only be available to the people who order by September 16th. We have to place the order by then to have them ready for October 7th. We will give out the T-shirts before the football game.

Hi Class of North Meck Class of 1986

I know that many of you are disappointed that we had to cancel the "formal" gathering at Oehler's on Saturday, Oct 8th. I am disappointed too.

However, if any of you would like to try to still gather together as class on a more informal basis, we can do that instead.

Friday, October 7 is a home game at North Meck against Hopewell. It's actually homecoming.
The athletic director, Mr. Calderone, has offered to announce our class that night at Homecoming. We can also plan to tail-gate before the game. He will be letting us know of the details/guidelines regarding tail-gating.

If you are interested in getting together at the Football game, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE sent this message to everyone you know. We need to let him know approximately how many people will be attending.

Please comment here if you will be attending the Homecoming game with the Class of 1986.

There have also been suggestions of everyone gathering at a local bar/pub as a group to fellowship. Please post your ideas/suggestions here.

Refunds have been processed through Paypal. Please notify me if you don't see the charges reversed on your credit card statement.

Hi Class of 1986.

Unfortunately, the reunion at Oehler's will be cancelled. Even now roughly 1 month before the reunion is scheduled, we only have about 5 people who've paid. Due to the venue fees and minimum catering order of 100 people, we can not proceed with such a small amount of admission tickets sold.

I will be sending refunds to those who sent money in the next week, as soon as I possibly can.

Hopefully those who are interested can still get together during that weekend as some have suggested. There's a home football game that Friday against Hopewell that those who are interested can attend. Any other suggestions for meeting with classmates can be posted here if you like.

We will try again sometime in the future. Best Wishes to everyone.

Hi North Meck Class of 1986 grads

We have approximately 1 week to get at least 75 people paid for the reunion to proceed. I have received three payments so far thru Paypal and no checks received yet. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE send your money now if you want to continue to have the class reunion.

Hi Class of 1986

As a reminder, Our 30th Class Reunion has been set for October 8, 2016 for several months now. We are now at the final deadline to pay for tickets so this reunion can be held. Mr Donnie Oehler, also a North Meck graduate, has been very understanding in terms of giving us more time to get funds so our reunion can still happen.

He has given us approximately 10 days to get the funds in or he will have to give the venue to some other group/event.

Please forward this reminder to anyone you know in our class. Please send your $60.00 immediately, so we can keep our reunion. Unfortunately, if we don't get a large portion of the funds in the next few days, we will forfeit our date and the reunion will be CANCELLED. If you want to still celebrate our 30th Class Reunion, please act NOW.

Again the $60.00 per person fee covers the venue, food, drinks (possibly beer & wine) and depending on how many people purchase tickets, other extras. Also there is a 100 person minimum for the venue, so please buy a ticket for your significant other as well.
We can't sell tickets at the door because of the lack of seed money for the required deposits. Please buy your tickets NOW.

Dear North Meck Class of 1986

Our class reunion has been set for October 8, 2016 at Oehler's BBQ. UNFORTUNATELY due to a lack of response, we are DANGEROUSLY CLOSE to LOSING our venue. We must send in our $60.00 per person NOW in order to keep the venue.

If you or your any of our friends that you've kept in touch with are truly interested in having the reunion, please send in your $60.00 IMMEDIATELY. Mr. Oehler won't be able to continue to hold the venue with no deposit.

PLEASE Again repost and send this message to any and everyone you know in our class. Hopefully we can get the response that we need. AGAIN, due to the fact that we don't have any seed money for deposits/catering/etc... we WILL NOT BE able to buy tickets at the door. We have to get the money upfront to fund the reunion. THE TIME is NOW to send in your money, if you truly want to have this reunion.

Our reunion date is fast approaching. We all need to purchase our tickets for the reunion now. Otherwise we will lose our venue.
