Families can dig into the mud kitchen—creating cakes, potions, and all kinds of outdoor delights—while children follow their curiosity, imagination, and creativity.

👧 Ages: 1.5–7 (siblings welcome!)
👩‍🏫 Forest School staff will be there to facilitate play and answer your questions
👨‍👩‍👧 Children must be accompanied by an adult
🌦️ Held entirely outdoors—rain or shine, warm or cold!

Shapes Come to Life at TNC’s Forest School 🎨📚

Forest School friends have been loving Triangle and Square by Mac Barnett, beautifully illustrated by Jon Klassen.

Inspired by these playful shape characters, we created our own versions of Square, Triangle, and even Circle using paper clay — and they’re a pretty good match if we do say so ourselves! 🎨✨

Give your child a year of adventure at Tenafly Nature Center’s Full Year Forest School (Sept 2026–June 2027)!
🎒Why it’s special:
-Learn hands-on in nature every day
-Mixed-age groups encourage teamwork and leadership
-Activities tailored to each child’s curiosity and growth
-Build confidence, independence, and a love for the outdoors

Eligibility: Children must be at least 3.5 years old; 5-6 year-olds nearing kindergarten are also welcome.
