Hello Everyone,
I am a special Education teacher with years of experience in the classroom, but also years of experience as a mom, parenting special needs kids. After the traditional public school system failed our daughter, who was eventually diagnosed with a visual processing disorder, I chose to focus all my time and talents in understanding how to help her; that eventually led to a teaching credential in mild to moderate learning disabilities. I have become intimate with all the qualifying conditions that help students obtain intense services.over the past ten years plus. From my years of experience on the homefront, pulling out my hair to get my child to finish ten minutes of math homework (3 hours later...) to sometimes being the only advocate for a kid who is desperate and hopeless, who just wants to feel good about themselves and have someone believe in them.
That is me. I help those who feel like there is no help. I love those who feel unlovable. I encourage those who have lost their bravery.
