We did it!!! Lamar MS orchestra got straight ones and we are bringing home a sweepstakes trophy! So proud of these awesome kids!!!

7th and 8th graders need to be there at 5:45

Great times today at Six Flags Fiesta Texas with TISD Orchestra students! Great way to finish a great year.

We still have plenty of bags of popcorn that we must sell. Remember, you get to keep the bag once you sell all twelve popcorn cups! Let’s do this, Bearcats!!

Lamar MS Orchestra fundraiser just got bigger! We will also be selling these popcorn cups for $5 and those who sell all 12 keep the bags!

Solo and Ensemble time is approaching. Students need to see Mr. Keefer for forms. Do you have what it takes to win one of these?

Happy to announce that this year’s UIL Orchestra from Lamar Middle School made 1s on stage at UIL for the first time since 2012! And they barely missed sweepstakes. There is so much to build on and I am so proud of these kids! I also wish all of them were in the picture. More great things to come! Go Bearcats!

Hello Lamar Orchestra Students and Parents/Guardians,

I am sad to announce that I will be leaving Lamar Middle School and Temple ISD. I have accepted a position in Ohio to be closer to my family. I wanted to make sure that you all heard from me before finding out through other means.

To my students: You have been the best students I could have ever asked for. You have taught me so many things about being a teacher and helped me grow as a person. You have all grown so much over the last two years and I have loved seeing you blossom as musicians. I will greatly miss every single one of you and wish the best for you in your future endeavors! Keep playing in orchestra!!! (:

To Parents/Guardians: Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to work with your students for the last two years. They are such wonderful, hard-working people and I have been amazed at what they have accomplished. Thank you for your support over these two years, it does not go unnoticed.

I wish I had a chance to say goodbye to everyone in person. Please feel free to reach out to me and stay in touch. I would love to see what you continue to accomplish.
