Celebrating Virtue at St. Mary’s ✝️

One of Mr. Warfield’s favorite parts of St. Mary’s is our Virtue Program — and this month we were proud to celebrate students for the virtues they are learning and living each day.

This past Sunday, our St. Mary’s community lost a beloved member of our church and school family, Mrs. Bernadette Hickman. We mourn Mrs. Hickman’s passing and hold her family and loved ones close in our hearts and prayers.

In times like this, we are reminded to lean on our faith and on one another. May God wrap His loving arms around Mrs. Hickman’s family, giving them strength, peace, and comfort during this difficult time. May the memories of Mrs. Hickman’s kindness, love, and presence remain a blessing to all who knew her. We pray that the Lord welcomes Mrs. Hickman into His eternal embrace and grants her everlasting peace.

As a community, may we continue to support one another, offer a listening ear, a helping hand, and most importantly, our prayers. May our faith remind us that death is not the end, but a journey home to our Heavenly Father. May Mrs. Hickman rest peacefully in the loving presence of God. Amen.

What a beautiful way to begin a new school year at St. Mary’s Catholic School! 💙✝️

Our faculty and staff have spent these past few days preparing our hearts, minds, classrooms, and campus to welcome our students back. From professional development and safety training to prayer, fellowship, and time together as a faith-filled community, every moment has been centered on one purpose: serving our students and families well.

We are especially grateful for our priests, sisters, faculty, staff, parish families, and everyone who helps make St. Mary’s such a special community.

As we begin this new school year, we pray that God will guide our teachers, protect our students, strengthen our families, and bless all that we do.

We are ready, Falcons! Welcome back! 🦅💙

We need your help putting the final touches on St. Mary’s before we welcome our students back on Monday!

Join us this Saturday at 10:00 AM as we work together to clear the hallways, move items into our storage area, and get our school ready for an amazing first day.

✨ DOUBLE SERVICE HOURS will be awarded to all volunteers!

Mr. Warfield will lead the volunteer team and provide directions for the morning’s projects.

Every Catholic has a faith story, and chances are someone—a parent, grandparent, teacher, or catechist—helped shape yours.

Now it’s your turn.

Our parish is seeking Faith Formation Catechists who are willing to help lead the next generation closer to Christ. You don’t need to be a theologian or have all the answers. If you have a love for Jesus, a heart to serve, and a willingness to grow, God can use you in amazing ways.

As a catechist, you’ll help children and youth:

🚨 Volunteers Needed Tomorrow Morning! 🚨
St. Mary's Catholic School needs your help!

We are looking for volunteers to assist us tomorrow morning with moving furniture and equipment from a recently closed Temple-isd school to St. Mary's.

📍 Meet at:
Cater Elementary
4111 Lark Trail
Temple, TX 76502

🕗 Time:
8:00 AM

Volunteers will help load desks, filing cabinets, an industrial laminator, and other school items onto a truck. Once everything is loaded, we'll head to St. Mary's Catholic School to unload the truck.

We also have a pallet of books in the church garage that needs to be moved over to the school.

⭐ Double Service Hours! ⭐
As a thank you for your time and hard work, both students and parents (St. Mary's and or Holy Trinity) will receive DOUBLE service hours for volunteering on this project.

The more volunteers we have, the faster we can get everything moved!

Thank you for supporting St. Mary's Catholic School—we couldn't do it without our amazing families!
