After learning and discussing each part of a plot diagram, our 3rd graders put their knowledge to work with their read-aloud, “A Bad Case of Stripes”! In groups, they carefully dissected the story, decided where each event belonged on the plot diagram, & collaborated to explain their thinking. We are so impressed by their teamwork & demonstration of lots of great thinking!🤝

Our 3rd-5th grade Cheetahs started GT in the READS Lab this week by learning about teamwork! They were first tasked with solving a puzzle. Once completed, they worked on constructing and testing designs from cup towers to cardboard enclosures to save “Steve”. Keep up the fantastic collaboration & creativity Cheetahs!🧠

Our 4th grade scientists have been exploring all the ways to describe the physical properties of matter. In their lab today, our Cheetahs practiced reading thermometers in degrees Celsius & recognizing patterns of their results. So, the next time you need to know how hot it is outside in Texas, ask one of our 4th grade Cheetahs to use their thermometer & temperature expertise before stepping out the door!☀️
