Since I teach third grade now, I haven’t used it as much as I did in first but I still have students who need number sense! This pocket chart is

My kids got to “apply” for classroom jobs today!
So in my classroom I have “crews” and the students who are on those crews keep that job the entire year. This allows for them to become an expert at that job and makes it easier as the year goes on since I’m not having to reteach another kid how to do a job.
Today, I wrote a list of all the available jobs on the board and had them choose their top 3 favorites. They wrote their name on their top 3 choices and I told them I will choose who I “hire” based on their behavior this first week. They were super excited at the prospect of getting the job they want!
How do you manage classroom jobs?
