Meet the teacher is always my favorite night! We got to welcome our the cutest ark learners and their sweet families tonight! I say it all the time…we really have the BEST families! We also have the best extracurricular activities and programs. We loved that our families could inquire and sign up for dance, gymnastics, soccer shots, and speech therapy!

🌱Planting Seeds for a Successful School Year! 🌱Today was one PD to remember! Our teachers got to hear from several community resource professionals!

We spent the day collaborating, learning, laughing, celebrating and growing! I’m so proud of this team and I can’t wait to for a new school year!

Had to share this from our favorite local Speech therapist! The Power of Talk is so simple and easy to do and gives your little learner a strong foundation!

The CDC advises talking, reading, and singing to your baby to build brain development and communication skills. Respond positively to their coos and babbles by smiling and copying their sounds; this teaches them how to take turns in a conversation.
Babies develop language and communication skills at different rates, but the CDC notes these general milestones:
* 2 to 4 months: Coos, makes gurgling sounds, and begins to babble.
*
* 6 months: Responds to their own name, strings vowels together, and uses sounds to show joy or displeasure.
*
* 12 months: Tries to say words, responds to simple spoken requests, and uses gestures like waving or shaking their head.
*
* 18 months: Tries to say three or more words besides "mama" or "dada". [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

You should talk to your pediatrician if your baby isn't saying any words by 18 months or only communicates with gestures by age 2.

Offering simple choices like “red cup or blue cup?” or “blocks or coloring?” helps children feel heard, confident, and in control. 💛 When kids have a say in small decisions, it can reduce frustration and help avoid those big meltdowns before they start. 🙌

This week was all about celebrating the incredible teachers who pour so much love, patience, and joy into our little ones every single day! 💕👩‍🏫 We are beyond thankful for the smiles, hugs, learning, and care they give so freely.
