Our beloved National Chaplain Emerita, Soror Bishop Vashti Murphy McKenzie, a treasured daughter of The East, will be honored at Baltimore Honors on Sunday, August 30, 2026.

For decades, Bishop McKenzie has inspired, uplifted, and led with grace, faith, courage, and unwavering commitment to service. Now it’s our turn to celebrate her extraordinary legacy and surround her with the love of her Eastern Region family.

This year, the Eastern Region Impact Day, Nurture Nest Initiative, is committed to making a tangible difference for mothers and babies in the Baltimore community.

Together, we are working to:

Provide 250 mothers with essential items for themselves and their babies.

Celebrate 30 expectant mothers with a community baby shower, ensuring they have the resources needed for a healthy pregnancy and birth.

These families are counting on us, and every act of kindness makes a difference.
