🎪✨ Step Right Up for Camp Fearless 2026! ✨🎪

This summer, grieving youth are invited to join us under the Big Top for a one-of-a-kind experience where friendship, support, hope, and fun come together.

Camp Fearless: Big Feelings Under the Big Top
📅 June 23–25, 2026
⏰ 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Designed for youth ages 4–18 who have experienced the death of someone important in their lives, Camp Fearless offers a safe and supportive environment where children and teens can connect with peers who understand, express their feelings in healthy ways, and discover that they are not alone.

Over four exciting days, campers will enjoy:
🎪 Circus-themed adventures and activities
💦 Water games and outdoor fun
🎨 Creative art and memory-making experiences
🤹 Team-building, laughter, and friendship
❤️ Age-appropriate grief support and remembrance activities

At Camp Fearless, we know that grief and joy can exist side by side. While campers learn new ways to navigate their grief and build meaningful connections with others, they also have the opportunity to play, explore, laugh, and simply be kids.

Every child deserves a place where their story is welcomed, their feelings are honored, and hope is nurtured through connection, understanding, and community.

It's Mental Health Awareness Week! Share your coping skills with your students and ask what theirs are! Maybe start a new one together. Remind them they always have their counselors at school if they ever need a moment.

It’s been a little quiet on Gabby's Facebook here lately… and that hasn’t been by accident.

Sometimes, quiet is where reflection lives. It’s where we pause, listen, and take stock of what has been, and what is still needed. In many ways, grief asks the same of us. It invites us into spaces of stillness, memory, and meaning-making that aren’t always loud or visible, but are deeply important.

As we step into celebrating our 25th year, we’ve been holding that space intentionally, reflecting on the thousands of lives touched, the stories shared, and the community that continues to show up for one another. And with that reflection comes renewed purpose.

We’re asking: How can we continue to serve our grieving community in ways that feel meaningful, accessible, and connected? You may have received a call or email asking you to share your experience. Your voice and experience matter, and our opportunities come from our partners in grief.

In the year ahead, we invite you to be part of what comes next:
✨ Join a support group or program
✨ Attend upcoming events and gatherings
✨ Share our mission with someone who may need it
✨ And be part of the exciting rollout of Camp Fearless

Whether you’ve walked alongside us for years or are just finding us now, there is space for you here... YOU are our WHY. Because grief is a universal human experience, and no one should have to navigate it alone.

Disability Network Washtenaw Livingston Monroe awards the annual John Weir Academic Scholarship to outstanding students with disabilities. Scholarships vary in amount, starting at $500! Opportunities for renewal may be available for recipients.
