It is with honor that NOMAarizona celebrates the legacy of Cesar Chavez, a man whose dedication and accomplishments as a human rights activist has been acknowledged by the City of Phoenix as a Government Holiday. Our chapter’s primary mission of Community Service is in the spirit of Cesar Chavez: “To inspire/empower and be a resource to under-served communities in Arizona, regardless of socio-economic status, culture, language, race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, disability, s*x, gender identity, s*xual orientation, or age.” May we continue to strive to make a positive impact in our communities.

Since the 1990s, Latin American abstraction has become a laboratory for critical intervention on pressing social, political, and cultural issues. Cecilia Fajardo-Hill, PhD, will discuss how viewers can interpret and experience contemporary Latin American abstraction in new ways.
