Thank you Kodenkan Yudanshakai for your continuing friendship and hospitality.
Recently, the KDK of Tucson hosted a weekend-long event that took us on the magical journey to visit ALL of the Danzan Ryu boards over the course of 2 plus days. Shihan Irene Swanson was our gracious host, and Shihan Steve Herzog led a mighty group of 20+ practitioners through approximately 200 of the 235+ arts comprising Okazaki's Danzan Ryu system. This was the first time I had ever heard of such an endeavor, and halfway through Saturday I realized why ... it's exhausting. Informative, enlightening, and a ton of fun to do with old friends, but it's definitely not something I want to do each week.
Aloha and Mahalo!

Roger Medlen, Joe Ristrom, and I will be guests, teaching clinics at this upcoming event. I will host a session on “Street Fighting Transitions.” Our organizer felt this was a better title than my original title: “Old Man JuJitsu.”

Danzan Ryu Jujitsu of Arizona is closed - it will be relocated to a new venue in early 2021. There is a jujitsu class at the Tempe YMCA, but not affiliated with the Shoshin Ryu Yudanshakai as is DZRJoA. Please visit, those Jujitsu classes are excellent and will continue.
