This new announcement from Fannie Mae is huge for people looking to have an income producing asset while also enjoying the benefits of home ownership!

Picture buying a 2 unit, living on one side and renting out the other side to reduce your living expenses/mortgage payment. This is intimidating to some, but once you get the numbers and educate yourself on exactly how it would work, it’s actually no harder than purchasing a typical home.

Now picture buying a 3 or 4 unit and having other people pay for your whole mortgage payment plus some!

“But Lisa, there is no way that a lender will lend to me on a multifamily property….” You’re wrong, the lender will use the other units rent coming in as income, you’d be surprised at what you could afford :) let’s get you in touch with a lender and talk in real numbers!
