The Association of Human Communication is your Undergraduate Student Organization for the Hugh Downs School.

We have been around for almost 10 years and as a student group we are one of the few organized undergraduate groups that represent an academic unit.

We are having our Welcome Back/ Membership Drive on Wednesday, September 24 in the Stauffer Building Room 137, the lounge area next to the advising offices.
It will be from 10:00-11:00 am and you can come by anytime during that hour.

Board members of the AHC will be there to greet you and tell you all about the AHC and how you can get involved, have fun, and learn more about what Communication as a degree has to offer. Membership is $10, and includes special member benefits.
All Communication students are welcomed to come to our meetings even if they are not a member.

If you are unable to make it on the 24th please contact us either on email at [email protected]
OR on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/AHC.ASU and someone will get back to you.

We look forward to seeing you and talking with you about getting involved.
Thanks,
The AHC Team

Fall 2013 - Community Service Event 11/16/2013

Planting trees at Crockett Elementary School...with ASU Communication Graduate Student Association

11/15/2013

Hello All AHC Members,

Thank you for those of you who met with us last Friday to work out the details of our upcoming community service project!
For those of you who did not attend, here are the details:

Who will be attending?
You, you, you, and you! All AHC members are welcome. Also, feel free to bring friends and family!

What will we be doing?
We will be planting trees and doing some landscaping! (If you aren't already familiar with the project, check out the details in the previous email!)

Where will it be located?
David Crockett Elementary School, located at 501 N 36th Street -- Major cross streets are N 32nd Street and E Van Buren

Why will we be doing this?
The school is in dire need of some new trees and we would be doing them a great service by donating our trees and our time!

When will it take place?
This upcoming Saturday, November 16th at 8:00 a.m.

How will we get this done?
With some hard work and determination! Also tools, lots of tools. In fact, if you have any landscaping tools (shovels, rakes, etc.) or extra work gloves, please feel free to bring them!

**We advise you to bring long pants, long sleeves, and shoes that you don't mind to get dirty!**

We will all be meeting at Crockett Elementary at 8:00. If you need a ride please feel free to respond by email and we can definitely coordinate carpooling!

Again, this is an amazing opportunity to give back to our community, work alongside your fellow team members, and, of course, have fun!

If you have ANY questions please contact us via email ([email protected]) or Facebook https://www.facebook.com/AHC.ASU.
