TIE Foundation

Supporting the children and families of the Tempe Elementary District. Volunteers process, sort, clean and store clothing and personal articles.

TIE Mission Statement:
A group of caring volunteer ambassadors who support the Tempe Elementary School District's children, families, and employees. Connecting with Kids is a service center funded through the TIE Foundation to provide everyday essentials to students in need so they can attend school ready to learn. Beans and Rice is a program to provide identified families of children in need with

food to help eliminate hungry children so they are better prepared to learn. Student Enrichment Scholarships provide summer learning opportunities to children in need of continued academic support.

Healthy kids learn better.

Students with access to care miss fewer school days, focus better in class, and catch health concerns before they become bigger problems.

Right in our district, the Tempe Elementary Clinic provides free physicals, screenings, and care for students, families, and staff. No cost, no barriers, just support for our TIE community.

It is with great sadness that our Tempe Impacts Education (TIE) Foundation recently lost Walter West, one of our longest serving board members, who served for 25 years on the TIE Board from 2001 until July 21, 2026.

Throughout his lifetime, Walter was a husband, father, grandfather, friend, changemaker and advocate. At the heart of his decades of service, was his unyielding commitment to providing the resources needed to make the world better for all children.
