Healthy Kids Day is a community-centered event designed to engage families, promote healthy lifestyles, and connect parents and youth with valuable local resources.

Our RA’s did such an amazing job presenting their posters at the Arizona Psychology Undergraduate Research Conference (AZPURC)!

Luisa presented and won Best Clinical Psychology poster for “Push Notifications Design and User Engagement within App-based Parenting Interventions: A Literature Review”

Jane presented a poster for “Evaluating the Psychometric Properties of the Total Wellness Outcomes Scale (TWOS) for Youth”

Maleah presented on “Addressing Cultural Values in Parenting Interventions: A Review of Adapted Programs for Latino Populations”

We’re so proud of all of RA’s and all their hard work!!

Our lab had such a great time meeting families at the Tour de Sunnyslope and sharing information about our free parenting program, Bridges! 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒🌱

We really appreciate events like this and giving us the chance to connect with parents and caregivers in the community and share resources that support strong families.

⭐️Meet Megan Torres Dafolgueira⭐️

Megan is a first-year undergraduate student at Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University, studying Medical Microbiology (B.S.). Megan will be graduating in the Spring of 2029; however, she hopes to further her education and obtain an M.D.-Ph.D. Some of Megan’s current research interests include exploring how certain stressors and social disparities can influence adolescent development and self-esteem. She hopes to gain an understanding of the experiences of diverse populations, such as foster children and children from various socio-economic backgrounds and cultures.

In her free time, Megan enjoys trying new restaurants and cafes, crafting, and spending time with friends and family.

We’re so excited to get Bridges started again at Horizon!

TWO DAYS left to sign up at Horizon Honors! Join our program, Bridges, and gain all the support, guidance, and confidence to navigate the teen years!

Open to parents with a child 10 or older.

How it works:
🚗 Attend 4 in-person meetings led by ASU-trained leaders.
📝 Practice ways to motivate, guide, and support teens to succeed in school and in life.
💰 Participate in optional surveys to earn up to $120!

🗓️ When? Wednesdays from 5:30-7:30pm starting April 1st!
