Last night of discussion for the $2 Dollars a Day Challenge at 7pm tonight at the shelter near the MU! We will watch the short video on "The Story of Stuff", talk about the misuse of water, and do a taste test between bottled water and tap to see if you can tell the difference!

At ASU, 90% of waste can be diverted from the landfill. Do you know how? Join Zero Waste at ASU, Friday, April 1st to learn more about recycling, composting and waste diversion through a series of activities. The event will be hosted at Changemaker Central in the Memorial Union from 4-6pm.

The Zero Waste Club is a group of awesome students committed to launching initiatives aimed at reducing waste on and off Arizona State University campuses.

The City of Phoenix Public Works Department is doing zero waste at an event this Sunday(February 21) in Laveen. They have been having a really hard time recruiting volunteers to work it and asked us if we might help them.

It’s a Laveen BBQ Event which will be held at the Coronado Ranch & Rodeo Grounds Facility – 7611 South 29th Avenue in Laveen. Volunteers will oversee the recycling and composting containers and help to educate event attendees on how to properly dispose of their waste.

The event runs from 11am to 4pm and volunteers can work anytime during that period for however long they want! There will be water and snacks for everyone too.
