At Arizona State University, SPS is a lively community of students helping students. Whether you have a mild curiosity for the science, or an intellectual passion, our goal is to promote physics through various avenues:
— Organize social gatherings which are almost always centered around physicists and food.
— We volunteer on campus at multiple ASU sanctioned events such as the Night of the Open

Hello!
The Bhagat Puran Singh Health Initiative (BPSHI) aims to initiate important health conversations among underserved communities as well as participates in a variety of volunteer work both having to do with health and not. They are hosting a fundraiser at Taco Boys on Rural Road today and asked us to invite you all to participate!

The Caltech Space Challenge is a 5-day prestigious event held March 21-25, 2022, in which undergraduate and graduate students from around the world are invited to come to Caltech to compete in designing a space-related mission. The theme for the next challenge is Titan Sample Return. Students will design a mission to collect, analyze, and return a sample from Titan. They will then present their work in a competitive design review to a panel of industry experts.
Students from a broad range of backgrounds are sought to apply: from engineering and science to graphic design and business/project management. More information can be found at our website: Caltech Space Challenge 2022. Applications close on November 1, 2021.

All expenses at Caltech for the event are paid, and a partial to full travel reimbursement will be issued.

The Southern California Earthquake Center is offering a remotely-mentored research experience to college students nationwide. The program offers a weekly student stipend of $600 per week, for a minimum of 6 weeks and a maximum of 12 weeks. The length of the program will be determined by the mentor based on project needs.

Geothermal Collegiate Competition | HeroX 02/24/2021

Good morning!
Below are details of the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Geothermal Collegiate Case Competition application. Here students will gain real-world renewable energy industry experience from this short assignment by designing a use case, performing a resource assessment, and evaluating usage and loads.
The deadline to apply is March 9, 2021.

- Teams will identify sites that could leverage local geothermal energy potential to heat and cool buildings, campuses, districts, or entire communities via direct-use technologies.
