🦋✨ September chapel is off to a meaningful start!

Coach Chad (Mr. Geaslen) launched our month by reminding students that God has a purpose for each of us and has the power to transform our lives.

Two middle school girls kicked off the lesson by taking on a challenge: could they use clay to create moths? 👐🏼 As they worked to shape something from a simple lump of clay, Coach Chad connected their creations to a bigger truth - God is our Creator, and He is continually shaping us for His purposes. Coach Chad shared the story of Saul’s transformation to Paul.

We also celebrated our first Student of the Month! 🎉 This month, we recognized students who are showing God’s love by putting others’ needs before their own.

We may not always understand what God is shaping us into, but we can trust the One who is doing the shaping. 👐🏼✨

🌈 God’s promises are all around us!

Kindergarten has been discovering the story of Noah’s Ark while exploring the science behind rain, clouds, wind, and rainbows. What started as a story of rain and storms has turned into a beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness.

Our kindergarteners are seeing firsthand how faith and wonder can come together. 💕🌧️☁️🌈

What a sweet way to learn about the God who made it all!

🎙️ Something new is in the works!

With podcasts becoming such a huge part of how people learn, connect, and share ideas, our middle school students are getting a chance to learn the skills behind the microphone in our brand-new podcasting elective with Mr. Gibson! 🎧

Students are learning how to plan, record, edit, and produce their very own podcast! And… they’re currently putting the finishing touches on their first episode!! 👀

We love seeing our students learn skills that help them keep up with the ever-changing world around them while using their creativity and voices to share what they have to say.

🏖️📚 Third grade is officially diving into their first novel study - Frindle!

In the very first chapter, Nick turns his third grade classroom into a beach… so naturally, our third graders had to experience it for themselves! 🌊☀️

What better way to kick off a new book than with a little sunshine, sand, and Frindle fun?! 📖💛

🇺🇸 Meet our 5th Grade Flag Team! 🇺🇸

Our 5th graders have the special opportunity to serve our school as members of the GCA Flag Team. After applying for the team, students learn from Mr. Inouye, our retired principal, how to properly care for our flags and how to respectfully raise and lower them.

Throughout the week, our Flag Team members arrive ready to serve by raising the flags before school and lowering them at the end of the day. 💙

We are so proud of these students for taking on this responsibility and representing GCA with such care, respect, and leadership!

Elementary families, this one’s for you! 💙 Come spend an evening learning more about your student’s classroom, curriculum, and what they’ll be learning throughout the school year!

📍 Meet in your child’s classroom

🎒 5:30 PM — Session 1 begins
📚 6:15 PM — Session 2 begins

We’ll offer two identical 45-minute sessions, so you only need to attend one! During the session, your child’s teacher will walk you through classroom routines, curriculum, expectations, and what you can look forward to throughout the year.

Come curious, bring your questions, and get a glimpse into the learning, growing, and experiences happening in your child’s classroom this year! 💙

🍫 A SWEET way to kick off the year in Home Ec! 👩‍🍳✨

Our students started the year by exploring the world of chocolate and tasting different types to see how they compare. From sweet to…well, VERY bitter! 😂

And yes, they tried 100% cacao! 😳🍫

We’re back together for All School Chapel! 💙✨

There’s something so special about worshipping together as a school family again. 🙌

Pastor Heston kicked off our chapel theme, TRANSFORMED, by reminding us of three important truths the Bible tells us about who we are:

✨ You are a saint. - You have been set apart for God.
💙 You are beloved. - You are deeply loved by God.
👑 You are God’s child. - You belong to Him.

Before we can be transformed, we have to understand who God says we are. What a powerful way to begin our year!

We can’t wait to see how God transforms our hearts, thoughts, and actions to become more like Jesus. 💙

Here’s what you need to know:
🍎 Hot Lunch is Available Monday–Friday
Students can order hot lunch for any school day!

⏰ Order by Noon the Day Before
✔️ Want hot lunch on Monday? Order by 12:00 PM Sunday.
✔️ Want hot lunch on Tuesday? Order by 12:00 PM Monday.
✔️ And so on throughout the week!

📱 Be sure to place your order before the deadline so your student doesn’t miss out on hot lunch!
