BFA Alum accepted to fully funded MFA program at UC San Diego
Camille Misty, a May 2025 Cum Laude graduate of Arizona State University, has been accepted to the fully funded MFA program in Visual Arts at the University of California, San Diego. Misty earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography through the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology through the School of Human Evolution and Social Change.
Working across photography, performance, video and sculpture, Mistyโs practice investigates the human body as a biological record of lived experience. Her work developed at ASU through interdisciplinary study and the mentorship of artist and professor Liz Cohen, alongside anthropology faculty Dr. Jane Buikstra, Dr. Yohannes Haile-Selassie, and Dr. Gary Schwartz. Seeking to continue her research within another rigorous academic environment, UC San Diego's Visual Arts program proved a natural next step.
Misty will begin her MFA studies this fall.
