First day of ~virtual~ school was a success!💗
So thankful for my team & resilient students for handling a day full of internet outages, glitchy zoom calls, & endless technology tutorials! Seriously, my kiddos were the absolute best! I can tell this is going to be an amazing year😊💗
P.S. I am teaching virtually from my classroom until it is safe for students to be back in our classrooms.

Anyone else traveling to different classrooms this year?👋🏻
My school is starting off the year virtual. However, when it’s safe for us to reopen, our students are going be in cohorts and won’t be traveling to different classrooms for different classes. Since I teach ELA & Social Studies to three different homeroom classes (including my own) I invested in a portable office to wheel to each classroom when the kiddos are back in school!
I plan to use this little guy during virtual learning to carry all my stuff as I move to different locations through my classroom to teach. I can never sit in the same spot all day so the portable office is perfect for me!💗 Link to this cart is in my bio!

Reading through my classroom library this summer🤩📚
As an English Language Arts teacher, it is so important for me to be able to recommend books to my students that I have actually read! It can be hard to find time to read, but my mentor teacher taught me how important it is to make reading a priority as a teacher.
My library has A LOT of growing to do still. I’m only about halfway through the books in this photo, but am hoping to read as many as possible before unloading them into my classroom.
What are your favorite books in your library?

One of the ways I stay connected to my kids over summer is through summer pen pals!☀️🍉🍊🍋
I’m supplying my kids with a card, envelope, and stamp to write me back. This way the only supply they need to participate is a pen!
Are you staying in touch with your kids this summer?😊🎉

First day of my Masters of Education in Global Education program!😍🌎
I’ll admit it, I’m a little nervous about balancing my first year teaching and getting my masters degree. But, I have always been a busy body and i felt this was the right time for me to start this degree!😊
What advice do you have for juggling grad school and teaching?🍎📚
