Students conduct market research and cost analysis by completing ‘art as industry’ modules…they learn how to create, market and sell handcrafted pottery in real-world settings through our partnerships with local businesses and organizations like VIP.

Thank you to the Perry County Community Foundation, the City of Tell City, and Tell City Parks & Recreation for supporting this very special project!

A correction: In the video I name Mulzer Camp Park in Troy as one of the locations for the other two benches. I was informed this evening that both remaining benches were installed this morning at Sunset Park in Tell City. Mulzer Camp Park, though used by many from Perry County, it is actually outside of the county.

We hope you’ll visit a bench soon!

A big THANK YOU to the students at Tell City High School and their teacher, Jennifer Mogan, for all of their hard work creating these beautiful benches for Tell City’s Sunset Park! ❤️

Each bench is decorated with wonderful artwork and also serves as an informational piece of our community’s history. Scan the QR code on the benches to hear about “250 Years of Life Along the Ohio River” and learn more about the history that makes our community so special.

We are so thankful for the time, creativity, and talent that went into bringing these benches to life. What a wonderful way to add beauty, history, and local pride to Sunset Park! 🌅💙

The cakes were created by TCHS culinary arts students, Kyrie Ammon and Taylor Richards.
Handcrafted stoneware cake stands were also created by Taylor Richards in Advanced Ceramics class.
