Mini Manes 3-5 yr old class.
We started this class because our Cubbies 3-5 yr old classes were progressing so fast. We decided that to ensure their continuous growth, we would have to add a class where they would have to graduate from first. Some graduate at 3 years old, and others graduate at 5 depending on their listening skills and how well they can pay attention.
We decided that if we want to have continuous growth for all Cubbies and to get them ready for the kids program we would first focus on the main thing that can make any person understand and become efficient in a craft.
That is following directions.
In the Mini Manes class we prioritize listening and following directions over everything. When they graduate they move to the Cubbies 3-5 year old class where we prioritize not only following directions, but being responsive as well.
When we ask questions like do you understand? We want them to start saying yes or no. These are the fundamentals of being respectful and getting them ready for the kids class ages 6 and up, where we prioritize being a well behaved, respectful student and teammate; having self control, and being kind in the process. Once we have those things in order with a student, they become very Coachable.
The details in the coaching here at Lion Heart make an incredible difference and has been proven over and over again within our cubbies classes, kids classes, and adult classes on our mat, and in competition. However, it all starts with following directions.
